Instrument Flight Rules

A valuable skill set for those seeking a career in aviation.

Instrument (IFR)

The instrument rating enables a pilot to fly the aircraft referencing only the instrument panel, a desirable skill to possess in clouds or any situation where visibility is impaired. In today’s job market, most employers require this rating.

If you have previous flight experience, please contact us and we will include that while making up an estimate and plan for the training required.

Please Note
The following listed times are the minimums required per the FAA. Actual flight time accrued depends on Student’s progress and readiness for the actual flight test. Contact us with details for a fair quote including average ground time. We recommend our students to combine Commercial and CFI ratings for time efficiency if they are enrolled in the Professional Pilot Program.

Add-On

Do you have an instrument pilot license, but not in helicopters and are looking to be rated? We can help! Contact us with details on previous experience for us to help with a realistic and fair quote.

Privileges

This rating is beneficial for anyone who would like to continue to pursue a career in aviation. This is especially valuable in jobs like EMS. Instrument skills are very good to have in your back pocket to learn how to deal with weather and being armed with the knowledge of how to circumvent/avoid flying into bad visibility or clouds.
