Honolulu Student of the Month: Emil Hedegaard Voigt

andyNews, Student of the Month

November 2019 Student of the Month
Meet Emil Hedegaard Voigt, from Denmark.

For the month of November Emil Hedegaard Voigt, a 22-year-old Denmark native was selected as the Honolulu Base Student of the month. Emil is currently in his CFI stage of training. He knew he wanted to fly for a while, but “when I knew it had to be helicopters was when I was in the Danish air force.”
Emil enjoys flying 8WB in Honolulu and in Kona 8P. When asked to share his favorite experience with flying in Hawaii and with MLH, Emil said: “too many to pick one, but passing a check-ride is for sure a good feeling every time!” Emil explained he selected MLh because “I was recommended from a Danish pilot working in the states. I only got in contact with him because one of the instructors on the flying school in Denmark helped me out.”
Obstacles Emil had to overcome,”well to get going after the military, it was for sure a hard time after and confidence went down.” Advice he would love to share with prospective students ” you really have to be committed to this, there is a lof of work ahead. But it will for sure be worth it!”
