andyNews, Student of the Month

January 2020 Student of the Month
Meet Daniel Lageder, age 28, from Italy.

Kona’s Student of the Month for January was Daniel Lageder. A 28 year old from Italy, currently in his Commercial Certificate.Daniel knew at the age of 12 he wanted to fly helicopters. But then finally decided to enroll in flight school when he turned 20. He selected MLH because “A friend recommended it to me and because of the F1 visa which allows me to work in the US for 2 years after graduation.”

Daniel shared his only obstacle right now he is working to overcome is “believing in myself”. Daniel is hoping once he finishes his CPT to go home and fly search and rescue missions one day. Advice Daniel would share with students just starting up in flight training “Being patient, not getting frustrated when they stuck at a certain level in their training.”

Daniel shared his favorite experience while flying with MLH has been “Being trained at high standards.” His favorite thing about flying in Hawaii has been all the “Different beautiful sceneries, from the sea to the volcanos and islands.”

Keep up the hard work Daniel!
