September 2019 Student of the Month
Meet Eric Månsson, age 21, from Sweden.
Eric Månsson was nominated as Kona base Student of the Month for September. Eric is from Sweden, Norrköping, at age 21 he is currently in his Private rating. Eric knew he wanted to become a helicopter pilot from the moment he took his first flight.
Eric choose MLH after his conversation with Ben “the time spent, and help provided even before I enrolled was much greater than any other school I contacted. It was an easy pick.” When we asked Eric about his obstacles, he has had to overcome he laughed and said” switching from the metric system to whatever you guys use here in America!”
Advice Eric would give to an incoming student pilot “Stay on top of your studies.” Eric talked about his current favorite aircraft on the MLH flight line right now is 721-Hotel Hotel, his goals are to fly “As long as I get to fly, I’ll be happy. Also, Iceland seems like a really cool place to fly.”
Thus far in Eric’s training, his favorite experience has been an R44 flight with Max from Kona to Kauai, “it was EPIC.” Eric closed with “weather is always great, and the people are like family.”
