Alaska
Who are you flying for currently?
I am a Tour Pilot at TEMSCO Helicopters in Alaska
Where are you flying and for what company?
Temsco Helicopters, 3rd season.
What kind of helicopter(s) do you fly?
Eurocopter AS 350, B2 & B3.
What do you find unique, challenging, or fulfilling about your job?

The weather in Alaska has the tendency to move really fast. You’re constantly evaluating weather patterns. My job is unique because everyday I get to fly in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Was there anything in particular that you learned at MLH that made you especially ready for a situation you have encountered since attending?
I feel like MLH gave me the right mindset and skills to always push myself to become a better pilot.
What did you like best about MLH?
There is a lot of encouragement by everyone (cfi’s, students, office manager, owner) to succeed. High standard of learning.
Would you recommend Mauna Loa to others?
Not unless you like the feeling of always knowing that someone is there for your every need! MLH provides a sense of family and camaraderie. It’s an extremely professional environment and fun at the same time. I would recommend the school to everyone that wants a career as a professional pilot. If you don’t want the best then MLH is not for you.
Do you have any other comments or suggestions for those just beginning in the industry?
I just want to thank everyone at MLH for the experience and memories.
