Graduating from our Professional Pilot Program later that year, he began working with MLH as a Flight Instructor. Noah spent many years at MLH working as our Chief Pilot and Director of Operations. During this time, he conducted in excess of 600 check rides, moonlighted in EMS, utility, fire, and was a cornerstone in the development of our program. His employment with MLH ended in May 2018 when the opportunity presented itself to fulfill a career dream, become a fire pilot for the State of California (Cal Fire).
What do you find unique, challenging, or fulfilling about your job?

Noah enjoys the dynamic environment of flying fires. He appreciates the aggressiveness of his crew while also being able to uphold a high level of safety. The intensity, tactics, crew dynamics, and the ability to constantly learn are some of the favorite parts of his job. He said it’s way too much fun to call it to work!

Do you have any other comments or suggestions for those just beginning in the industry?
Noah offered the following advice to future and current pilots. “Appreciate every moment; every individual you meet and experience you have. Be humble, be receptive to learning new things, be a true professional in how you approach your training and career. Honor the unspoken trust your family and passengers place upon you to return safely after each flight and most importantly, have the time of your life!”
