Bibek hails from the picturesque Himalayan region of Sikkim, India, known for its awe-inspiring mountains, including Mt. Kanchenjunga—the world’s third-highest peak. But Bibek’s story soars far beyond the heights of his homeland; it is one of passion, purpose, and a vision to make a difference.
Bibek’s dream of becoming a helicopter pilot is deeply intertwined with his dedication to serving others. He is an active member of the Prashanthi Balamandira Trust, a social organization in India that provides free education to children in need. The Trust operates schools in remote and underserved areas with limited access to quality infrastructure. Bibek envisions helicopters playing a transformative role in bridging these gaps—connecting resources, education, and opportunities to the unreachable corners of his country.
A Journey Toward Excellence
Currently pursuing his Commercial Helicopter License at Mauna Loa Helicopters, Bibek has already earned his Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating. His long-term goal is to become, in his own words, “a really good aviator.” For Bibek, flying is not just a profession; it’s a way to give back. He shares his aspiration to return to India and use his skills as a pilot to reach remote rural locations, helping communities and making an impact—one flight at a time.
