Turbine Transition Training

Most students opt to learn to fly in a Robinson R22 or R44. These turn out to be amazing training models but if any student wants to learn to start flying turbines, we offer up our R66 to help any such requests. This helps students get a more diverse training experience and get an introduction into the big wide world of turbine helicopters.

The course shall include ground training to talk about turbine helicopter components and R66 POH followed by inflight demonstration, practice, and final evaluation. This course could also be combined with a little High DA flying and advanced autorotations to get an even more well rounded understanding and feel for the difference between a piston engine aircraft and a turbine in various flight modes.
