What point in your life did you know you wanted to fly helicopters?
Never thought I’d ever choose flying helicopters as a career, but my friends and family support my love for helicopters. As much as you want to plan your life, it has many ways of surprising you unexpectedly that will make you happier then you originally planned.
What is your favorite to fly?
Off airport.
What obstacles have you had to overcome to get where you are today?
Finding financial support. Training is very expensive but finances are half the battle with the amount of material that we have to learn.
Where do you hope your helicopter training will take you?
I hope to make a difference in world, whether its inside or outside the cockpit.
What advice would you give to people just starting out in their training?
Find something you love to do…and never work a day in your life.
What has been your favorite experience while flying with MLH?
Flying to molokai at my Aunty Stephanie Cobles place and landing in front of the house!
How did you pick MLH?
The environment at the office and the ability to receive financial aid.
What’s your favorite thing about flying in Hawaii/at MLH?
Living here for 22 years and viewing the island from the birds eye view never gets old. Also, it’s my home state, so its good to be close to home.
