On May 16th Assistant Chief Kaj Loken-Kim shared with MLH Kona base students about Stage Check Readiness. The idea being, to help our students better prepare for the upcoming stage check which in the long run have a higher success rate during the check rides.
Main items covered were:
1) Being aware of where you are in the course and how to come to class prepared.
2) Understanding how the school syllabus works, knowing the material.
3) Knowing how the syllabus will structure your homework.
4) What specifically will be expected of you on each stage check. The ground and flight portion.
Kaj shared his more recent experiences of conducting student’s stage checks, and also looked at a few student binders to help them begin preparing for their upcoming stage checks.
